If you’ve already gained skilled work experience in Canada, the Canadian Experience Class (CEC) under the Express Entry system is your fastest and most reliable route to Canadian permanent residency. This program is designed for temporary foreign workers, international graduates with post-graduate work permits, and skilled professionals who have legally worked in Canada and wish to make it their permanent home.

To qualify for the CEC Visa, applicants must:
Have at least 12 months of full-time (or equivalent part-time) skilled work experience in Canada in the last 3 years.
Ensure the work was done with legal authorization (e.g., work permit).
Meet the language proficiency requirements based on the NOC level of the job:
CLB 7 for NOC 0 or A
CLB 5 for NOC B
Plan to settle outside of Quebec (Quebec has its own immigration program).
Your Canadian work experience must fall under the National Occupational Classification (NOC) categories:
NOC 0 – Managerial Jobs
NOC A – Professional Jobs (e.g., doctors, architects, engineers)

Language test results (IELTS, CELPIP, or TEF)
Proof of Canadian work experience (reference letters, pay stubs, job contracts)

Medical examination results
Proof of status during work in Canada (e.g., work permit)

Step 4: Get placed into the Express Entry pool based on your Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score.
